Thotla konda in local language is thotla means container bath tub and Konda means a hill. Thotla konda is at a distance of 16kms aprox from visakhapatnam it is on the beach road from visakhapatnam to Bheemili which is a very picturesque drive on the way is vuda park with plenty of greenery a skating rink and Kailasagiri and Rushikonda on the way. Thotlakonda is adjacent to the sea the hill tip protrudes into the sea, there is a Tthar road to the top of the hill where one can see the panoramic view of the sea by evening the lights of the villages nearby and beam of lights from the passing vehicles. There is an entry fee of Rs 10/- for a four wheeler. it is worth visiting once and to stay in serene atmosphere away from the daily bustle of day in and day out
